Friday 10 – Sunday 12 August: John Darlings Farm, Edenbridge

With less than six weeks to go, LeeFest is nearing what is set to be their most exciting show ever. Parcels, Zak Abel, Hey Charlie, Yassassin, Yowl, Lissy Taylor and some extra Special Secret Guests join the LeeFest Presents The Neverland lineup.

Since their very first festival in Lee’s parent’s back garden in 2006, LeeFest has become a thriving arts community that welcomes 5,000 revellers annually.

This year it is set to see Jake Bugg, Annie Mac, and Kate Tempest headline.

Aussie-born and Berlin-based five-piece, Parcels, have quickly garnered a dedicated online following thanks to their funk-pop feelgood tracks.

Laced with funky guitars and dreamy vocals, Parcels’ latest single Overnight sees a very rare production appearance from Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, aka Daft Punk. Their debut EP Hideout has received widespread critical acclaim with both The Guardian and Clash counting themselves as fans of their 70s Chic-inspired stylings.

Fresh from two sold out London shows, Zak Abel has fast become an unstoppable force and one of the freshest voices in the UK music scene. Perhaps best known for his collaborations with Gorgon City, his debut single Unmissable is a summer party anthem on the rise.

British grunge-loving girl gang Hey Charlie also join the bill, as do newly formed alt-rockers Yassassin, who tackle social issues with high energy, evoking the sound and fury of forebears the like of Le Tigre, PJ Harvey, and The Breeders.

Peckham-based band Yowl will also appear on the already packed out lineup. They specialise in off-kilter riffs and sinister basslines, their jagged storytelling spirit is reminiscent of The National’s Matt Berninger meeting head on with Julian Casablancas.

Last, but by no means least, LeeFest will play host to an extra special secret performance…all will be revealed.
