Strawberry Fair is looking for Food Safety Monitors to join our Food Safety Team.
We are looking for people with catering experience and an in-date Level 1 or (preferably) a Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate who can meet for training before the Fair and who can be there on the day of the Fair itself (Saturday 3rd June).
The Food Safety Team will work to ensure that our Food Traders have all the necessary paperwork in place and are operating safely and hygienically at the Fair.
On the day the Food Safety Monitors will visit our food traders and inspect them to ensure that their paperwork is correct, their practices are up to standard and tell them to make any changes where needed. Food Safety Monitors do need to have catering experience because, although there is a checklist for the inspections, a lot of the work relies on being able to make a professional judgement of the way in which a Food Trader is operating.
Training is provided and the Food Safety Team report directly to the Event Manager who will support them if they have any queries or need action to be taken in response to serious breaches.
